Conceptual designs as per customer requirements are constructed using Autocad 3D Inventor. The concepts may be used to visualize different combinations of cabinets in order for the customer to decide on the best option prior to finalising the store layout.
All cabinets are designed using Autocad Inventor. In the case of new cabinets, full prototype cabinets are built in accordance with the design. Cabinets are tested extensively in order to ensure design criteria are achieved.
A fully equipped test laboratory is available for testing of cabinets with respect to airflow, performance and electrical usage for both low and medium temperature. Tests are conducted in accordance with BS EN ISO 23953-2:2005 using state of the art LabView software and hardware.
Colcab has adopted a Word Class Manufacturing approach with emphasis on continuous improvement and employee involvement. In order to ensure flexibility and customer satisfaction, most of the fabrication and sub assembly is conducted in house.
Equipment employed includes CNC Punching and Automated panel bending. A dual line powder coating plant ensures the highest standard of finish.
The Colcab facility includes a coil manufacturing plant. Capability includes design and manufacture of 3/8’, ½’ and 5/8 coils comprising copper tube and aluminium/copper fins.
The range includes evaporators, condensers and blower coils for the commercial/industrial refrigeration, retail and air-conditioning industries. All sheet metal work is fabricated in house and may comprise stainless steel, galvanised or aluminium.
